Aerial Firefighting
Each fire season, Aero Logistics proudly deploys our fleet of National Aerial Firefighting Centre (NAFC) accredited and approved helicopters from our bases across New South Wales into some of the most severely affected fire areas, providing 24/7 critical air support to the firefighting effort over extended fire campaigns.
BARS accredited, Aero Logistics is and able to offer resources for both aerial and ground support operations in times of emergencies, working closely to support the community in conjunction with:
- NSW Rural Fire Service
- NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service
- Tasmanian Fire Service
- Victoria Country Fire Authority (CFA)
- South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS)
- Queensland Fire and Rescue (QFRS)
Our ability to service and maintain our aircraft both in the field and after hours ensures we remain on task to provide our helicopters and experienced pilots for a wide variety of services including Water and Retardant Bombing, Air attack, Fire reconnaissance and mapping, Fuel solutions, Evacuation, Supply drops, Livestock fodder drops and post fire impact assessments.
Aero Logistics is strategically positioned to support firefighting activities up and down the eastern Coastline, with operational bases at Sydney Airport, our owned and operated Newcastle Regional Heliport, and remote bases on the Gold Coast, Coffs Harbour, Cessnock and Essendon Victoria, our fleet of Firebird registered Eurocopter AS350 and Bell JetRanger Helicopters can support any fire requirements.

Water Bombing and Retardant Bombing
Aero Logistics has a comprehensive inventory of multidrop buckets and foam units along with cargo baskets and the associated equipment needed to fight large and small bushfires. We use under slung buckets up to 3000 litre capacities, able to be fitted to various length long lines. Our range of buckets include the latest technology multi-drop, self-filling buckets.

Aerial Incendiary
Hazard reduction burns are key to reducing fuel loads each fire season for both government departments and local landowners alike. For efficient, safe hazard reduction burns, Aero Logistics utilise state of the art Incendiary Units to provide precision burns in the most remote of terrain. Couple this with our ability to conduct aerial patrol and if required, switch to bucketing operations quickly, ensures we can manage all aspects of your hazard reduction burn.
